A Child and Youth Care Practitioner is able to work with children and families with emotional, social, and behavioural concerns that do not require treatment from a registered psychotherapist or psychiatrist. This allows for more affordable rates because these sessions are not a form of medical treatment recognized by extended health care benefits.
